That being said, Bronco is terrible at rivalry games. BYU has been favored in
many of the games he has lost to Utah, and was even favored in the 54-10 debacle. At home, and his team quit on him.
BYU was far better than Utah the years they won the rivalry game (2006, 2007, and 2009), yet they barely won those games.
Bronco has also allowed Utah St to make a legitimate claim that they are on our level, by trotting out terrible defenses led by incompetent d coordinators (Hill and Howell).
I don't think it's as simple as "Utah and Utah St got better."
Whatever Bronco is doing with regards to rivalries is woefully inadequate.
