The Committee Chair recently said RPI was not that important, and was only one of many considerations, per a link to a February interview that i have posted here many times.
I guess i don't understand the view that RPI is seen as the most precise measure.
It looks like systems of stat gurus like Pomeroy an Sagarin are increasing in credibility every year.

i think they are in easily, but opponents to BYU might force a downgrade to a play-in game, which would be fine.
