I had a Palm PDA, then a Handspring Visor. Then a Windows Mobile phone and then a Handspring Treo. Then back to Palm with WebOS.

Smartphones were a niche product with little interest and a small market.

Then Apple released the original iphone and the game changed. Now Apple earns billions in a product space that practically didn't exist 6 years ago or whenever it was. Amazing.

Apple did it again with the iPad. There were tablet pcs available for years that no one wanted. But once the ipad hit a new revolution took place with iPads and Android tablets.

I wonder when Apple or Google or someone else will release the new must-have product.

My prediction is that the next huge thing will be an affordable self-driving car.
