After the committee has selected the four playoffs teams, the P5 and the
the best team from the G5 are each guaranteed a spot in the remaining contract bowls. The committee will decide on the pairings and which bowls the team will play. The last two spots will then be filled with at large teams.
There is no longer a restriction as to the number of teams a conference can have in the New Year Six.
