A friend of mine got duped by a "grant writing service."

He was a small-business owner in desperate straits, and he got conned to the tune of $9000 by a guy out of Las Vegas who said that he could help him get some sort of a small-business grant. My friend talked to the FBI after the fact, but it never went anywhere.
