The fact that Anae didn't receive a single straightup OC offer other
than BYU and that he didn't receive any leaving BYU in 2010 kind of supports the Anae Theory. But this isn't to say that he wasn't the strongest hire available to BYU for this moment - I believe he was - but the fact that Whitt knows his offense is in bad shape and that he needs a steady experienced hand at the tiller going forward (bonus for being one that drives a deeper wedge between BYU and its football alumni) is not evidence that the Anae Theory doesn't have a basis.
