I think pretty much everyone here likes Jake as a leader and ambassador for the school, and most will acknowledge he’s improved and done some good things at QB.
That doesn’t mean that he wasn’t lousy in the bowl game because he clearly was. I’m OK with a QB who is a bit off in his throws from time to time, provided that those throws constitute good reads and intelligent decisions. Those things are controllable.
What Jake absolutely must fix are the really, really bad mistakes that have more to do with judgment and situational awareness than anything else. I think he can, and I certainly hope he does because if we can get that version of him on the field throughout 2025, there’s potential for a special year.
