I’ve had days that absolutely killed it with the cranefly on the Green, but I developed that one more fishing on the
Beaverhead in Montana.
Truth is, craneflies are everywhere, and as Robert Younghanz told me once, might be the most underfished fly in the word.
For sure try out your favorite on your home stream.
And if you tie, look up a tutorial for this one on YouTube (because I think the ones production ties aren’t as good 🤫)

Outside of nymphs, I really only need like 3 dry flies. No see'ums, Bionic Ant, and Olsen's front end loader caddis.
