They should retheme "It's a Small World" by that logic, but they won't. Disneyland quality is going down by
relying on strictly "movie franchise" property. The best stuff in the park isn't tied to a franchise at all, rather franchises were built around it.

What are the best rides? Thunder Mountain. Matterhorn. Space Mountain. Pirates. Haunted Mansion. None of those were based on a movie. Those old rides still hold up just fine and so did Splash Mountain. The line for that ride was only short early in the morning and late at night when getting wet scared off visitors.

Tiona's Bayou isn't going to "die" because of a boycott. I'll ride it. But the updates to Pirates (to match with the movies) made the rise worse, IMO. The changes before that were even worse. The original ride was the best.

There was no reason to update that ride, so if you were going to update it you better do it right. It sounds like it's getting "mixed reviews" which is not a good sign their investment was well placed. They had the same risk changing Tower of Terror to Guardians of the Galaxy. But they spent time writing and making sure it was at least as good as the outgoing ride.
