Maybe that's Disney's fault for caving to modern political sensibilities, but the fact is that this movie has been vaulted for decades now, and very few people younger than 40 are going to be able to follow the story of the ride. It's inevitable that it has been rethemed.

Now, if you want a real tragedy, it sucks that the super awesome Jules Verne-themed Space Mountain at Disney Paris has been rethemed to the Marvel movies.
