I had one set that gave every grandkid a gift and one that didn’t. Shockingly

my siblings and I all survived and my parents never even had to say a word about it.

Fast forward a few decades and my own kids have a set of grandparents who give a simple gift to each family if they can afford to, and a grandmother on the other side who gets them each something. No one is entitled to anything.

Gratitude is a great principle to learn early.
