It is arbitrary to declare that someone is restricted to a certain number of years of college athletics. If they are able to be enrolled in school, they should be allowed to participate in that schools athletic team. I went to school at BYU undergraduate and law school for 7 years. I should have been permitted to play for my school every year.
If I went to JC and then figured out life and went to BYU, I should be able to play for BYU every year that I am going to school there. The arbitrary restriction on total numbers of years of eligibility has no basis, and like other NCAA name image and likeness restrictions should not be enforced.
