I love both places, but Italy wins on volume of history and topography
- sure France has its Roman stuff here and there in Arles and Orange etc, but it doesn't have the core of Roman history
- sure France has a slice of the Alps, but Italy has some of the Alps then also has the Dolomites
- sure France has its coastal places, but it isn't surrounded by coastline the way Italy is
- Yes France has a great range of variety the distance between Sicily and Como is on another level - both incredible but totally distinct
- and ultimately, while I love French cuisine, Italy is just better on FOOD. More range, more variety, more delicious.
