Norway exports 1.7M bpd of crude oil for a country of 5.5M people
That is somewhere in the ballpark of $10k per resident in annual revenues just from oil alone.
They also export the equivalent of 30% of the natural gas consumption of the EU and England.
And they have massive timber and fish exports.
All for a country the size of a mid-sized US state. The point is that without their massive mostly-nationalized natural resource, it wouldn’t be nearly as cheap.
