Do you leave yours outside ( even covered under a covered patio or similar area?) or do you keep it in the garage?
Moisture in the air can still wreak havoc on the metal these are made out of.
Finally how old and how used is it?

Mine produces a lot of direct heat. Insulated blanket helps a little.
