Intervention Needed
Easy. My local HS has an enrollment of around 5,300. Tonight they are in a
second-round playoff game against a school about 20 mins away with an enrollment of ~2,600.
This happens all the time in Texas. Nobody complains.

Yep. Texas has the same number of divisions with almost 10x the population.

Texas actually has 12 classifications. In each class, there’s a Division 1 (large school) & Division 2 (small school).

Care only to the extent that it does kind of water it down, which is true.

I don't particularly care. I just think it's ridiculous.

6A and 5A should be combined, IMO

Here are the projected breakdowns with school enrollment figures. How would you break them especially into three?

6A has 18 teams among 3 regions. Top 10 if you finish above .500

The proposed alignment for 25-27 has 24 teams in 6A.

Without going over it closely, I'd say you basically have three enrollment

The top 6A schools have 2000 kids. Think a school with 1000 can ever compete?
