My sister-in-law and her husband are both personal trainers. I posted their website once before on CB but my wife made me delete it. Long story. They train their kids and a lot of their teammates in the offseason. Before she saw a doctor, her husband was getting the results from the types of things in your post but she wasn't.

I also find a interesting that no matter how thin she gets everywhere else, she always seems to have a bigger butt with her wider hips. We laugh because her son that is going to the league next year walks like her and has similar hips and butt. The male version. Definitely helps him on the ol.

Even if she were starved in a concentration camp, she would still have the wider hips. Side note, it's more healthy to carry your weight in your butt than it is in your abdomen.

Also, weight loss happens first at both ends of the body. The face and feet. It's slowly makes its way down/up and the last place to lose weight is in the butt and stomach. So in order for her to lose a lot of fat in the areas she wants to the most, she ends up looking really thin in the face, etc.

Also, before the ozempic you mentioned, even with all the true scientific things you've said in your posts, there were other scientific truths that made it harder for people to successfully/consistently do your suggested checklist. Those people have had to deal with unfair judgment their whole life.

For example, (paraphrasing) genes code for types of taste receptors in your tongue. So food might taste even better to you than to others, but you are still expected to as successfully resist gluttony on the same level? For some, food tastes so good to them, compared to you that it is exponentially harder to be resisted by them. But we like to think of ourselves as just being more self-controlled than another and assume that we have the same amount of desire and temptation for food.

Then there is leptin which is the poster child of the it's a biological disease, not a measure of your lack of self-discipline" insight, regulating fat storage throughout the body and, most significant, telling your hypothalamus when you've eaten enough. Abnormally low levels of leptin signaling produce an abnormally low capacity for filling satiated, resulting in severe obesity, beginning in childhood. Most with generational leptin issues. A condition they didn't choose but were given.

Then of course, you can be influenced by other things you didn't have control of. Like the womb you grew in. Lifelong propensity towards obesity is influenced by whether you were undernourished as a fetus, whether your pregnant mother smoked, drink, or took elicit drugs. Even by the gut bacteria she transferred to your fetal gut. As usual, different versions of genes interact differently with different environments. One gene variant increases obesity risk, but only when coupled with your mother having smoked during pregnancy. There are many others that are the result of the interplay between genetics and environment. Neither of which a person chooses.

And then there are genetic effects related to obesity that the world judges as our backbone and character that we bring to our natural attributes: The genetics of how many dopamine neurons you formed but didn't choose, which mediats anticipation and reward. The genetics of how much pictures of appealing food activate those neurons when you're dieting compared to others. How intensely stress produces cravings for high carb high fat foods and how averse hunger feels to you compared to others. And of course, how readily your frontal cortex regulates parts of the hypothamulous relevant to hunger, bringing in the ever-present issue of willpower.

Unconscious bias against people as a function of their race, age, or sexual orientation have all decreased significantly over the last decade. But some studies suggest implicit bias against obese individuals has gotten worse. Associating obesity with laziness, etc.

I think a lot of these things is where the guy in the Joe Rogan video was coming from.
