and really stuck it out there, as if to say, I don't want anything like a hug. But, he had to re-group when KS took off his hat and went in for the hug. It was pretty clear, if you ask me, that KW did not want anything that personal, and hoped for just a hand shake, until KS forced his hand.
Now, understandingly, his team just lost a big one after playing their best game of the year (especially in the trenches), and lost by a call (albeit the correct call) that may have been judged either way, depending on the ref's perspective, and what they did and did not let go all game long, or even all season long. So, KW was not understandably not in a "huggy" mood. But on the other hand, he is supposed to be "good friends" with KS, and that brief cursory interaction is not really what "good friends" do. What I think is that KS likes to push the narrative that they are "good friends," and they probably were when KS was at Utah, but I think that ship has somewhat sailed into at least some more complicated waters as far as KW is concerned. That's my take, as I watch their interactions, both when they are together, and when they talk in the media.
