I am taking the Get a Better Job self reliance course that the Church sponsors. It is pretty good. They recommend "15-10-2", which means identify 15 resources per day, make 10 contacts per day and make sure 2 of your contacts are face to face.

It sounds like a ton and I haven't personally gotten those numbers yet (I haven't truly started my job search, tbh), but if you really want a new job and figure out how to market yourself and start contacting your people and your friends of friends, doing informational interviews, etc., you might find that there are way more options than you think.

I mean, maybe you were planning to do this already and that's what you mean by "waiting it out," but my point is you don't have to do so much waiting. You certainly don't need to stay within the same company and hope something appears. Spend an hour a night on this. You got it.
