We also came back to beat Iona in the play in round. If memory serves, that’s it in as far as NCAA tournament or conference championship wins.
Cleveland couldn’t win a tournament game either.
Bottom line is without a national player of the year taking the court for us, BYU has really struggled to do much in the postseason despite being a rather consistently good regular season squad.
That’s hardly a Pope phenomenon. It’s a characteristic of our program for the last 20 years or more.
