doctrine all the time and some of it was wildly inaccurate. We had 4 non members and two newly baptized members in our class of 25-35 and it blew me away this is guy was teaching them wrong information. I mean blatantly incorrect because the manual we used said the opposite.
I called him no it twice in class because I honestly felt his take on it was damaging to those with little knowledge of the gospel. By calling him I just mean saying "Um hey did you mean to say that because in the manual on page 113 it says..." Both times he told the class the manual was wrong and he was right on this. These were church printed manuals with the Church's name endorsed on the back. I didn't want to create a issue publicly but I went and spoke to him after class and he was super rigid and proud that he felt like his take was accurate.
On top of that I am 100% sure that he took a biased approach on my assignments and participation after that. I only ever got As and A-s in my religion classes but ended up with a C+ in that class and I ended up retaking it from Holzapfel and getting an A.
I had harder classes by far but my grade reflected my knowledge and they never frustrated me like this one. Plus it was an 8 am class. Huge mistake.
