Mental effort. It is a lack of focus. I realize I'm blurring the lines between yelling and benching, but all of the great coaches had some type of accountability. Bill Belichek may not have been a yeller, but if you made a mental mistake including dropping a pass he would absolutely sit you. Nick Saban and Urban Meyer were the same.
