Not to be pedantic, but isn't it impossible in principle to ever figure out

NIL amounts? I mean, I'd like to think that collectives and coaches work together and that someone has a clear picture, but can't anyone mail a check to any athlete anywhere without telling anyone? If I was an athlete, I'd mail myself a $10M check just to juice my numbers.

It seems like the IRS and the athlete would be the only ones who know for sure.
