occasional hedge row and farm buildings off in the distance. Still love the mountains, but I truly put the Kansas sunset from my front porch up there with the best mountain views. And it's much different than the barren prairie that you see from the interstates through Nebraska, Kansas and eastern Colorado. And the claustrophobic feel is real. I don't get it in Utah because you can almost always see vast distances wherever you are. But even though I lived many years back east, when I return now to those places, I really do feel closed in by all the trees.
