They could hold that against us, used it in every way to gain recruiting advantages, there is no question that Utah had done significantly more than what BYU was doing as an Independent... and credit to them, if rolls were reversed there is no doubt in my mind we would have done the same thing to Utah.
But then BYU gets invited for the BIG12 and in 3 years, I'm not calling the gap between BYU and Utah completely erased but it's closing rapidly... and I really do believe that Whittingham does more for that program then Scalley will be able to do. Scalley won't have the recruiting advantage over BYU like Whittingham has had over the last 11 seasons. I fully expect Utah's football program to have a couple of really bad seasons once Whitt leaves.
