Well trained hunting dog from a trainer is like $5k isn’t it?
And if you have to go through the puppy and potty training phase again that’s worth a few thousand. Not that you’ll get any of that.
I’d expect to get an “I’m sorry” if it was a good neighbor and an excuse if it was a bad one.

Was the dog in my yard? No? Then, no, I don't expect compensation.

I would figure out their $ impact if I called the cops on them. Then ask for that amount, +10% for Jesus.

If its's just $200 I'd just let it go. Not worth the aggravation. Not having

People would go after someone for that? Yikes

You're damned right I would go after them, and $200 wouldn't be near enough.

Unfortunately, my dog is worth more than 10 times that. I'd want $2000.

I would expect the $50 bounty for the lower jaw. It's pretty hard to shoot a dog as a coyote unless the dog is where

Depends on the area.

In Utah, they pay you for each one you kill.

If someone thought my dog was a coyote and shot it while it was on my property, I would sue them and press charges..
