Is it a long flight?

Den to Phoenix so fairly short. Looks like attendant got it resolved.

It’s ridiculous that we weigh and size bags but not people.

time for shoulder high plexiglass walls between seats. I kid...kinda

I don't disagree....but not sure it's simple solution to solve.

It seems simple. We have example rollercoaster seats before the lines to make sure you fit.

Ok,did t realize there are sample RC seats..

But what if the person on needs a seat that is 110% bigger or 150%
Pangare

Because when you interpret a remainder you may need a whole new whole. If 60 students can fit on a bus, but 67 students

unless you have a few rows with slightly larger seats.
Pangare

Right. But that's currently not an option. I would definitely agree that airplane seats are already too small.

Maybe a warning at the time of purchase about weight/size limits, and possible actions taken if it causes a problem

Eventually they'll make the seats bigger and make everyone pay more.

Never thought of it that way. FC seats are targeted at price-insensitive
seacougar

Exactly - passengers over a size/weight limit should be required to buy seats in first class
Bobber

I have never actually thought of that. Now I am going to be confused about that

or they could make the seats a little larger.

What happens if we change the offending characteristic to smell?
Pangare

I don’t have any patience for people spilling into my seat. There are other problems, but this one is objective.
TCuz
Oct 4, 10:04am
is it simpler for you to learn patience or for a fat person to loose weight?
Pangare
Oct 4, 10:09am
I don’t have any patience for a person in my assigned space. This is so easy, I’m sorry.

Bad smells don't objectively factor into the physics and economics of operating

Many airlines have body odor policies, including Delta, United, & American.

For small planes, you have to weigh the people. Just a fact of flying.

Pangare

If total weight is the concern that would be fine, but seat space is different.
TailgateU
Oct 4, 10:56am
Correct, and big planes aren't exempt from the same physics.

They also weigh fuel, btw. People reacting to this as if it were a social issue,

Heavier people in the same quantities also make the prices go up, as well.

Those seats already exist at the front of the plane, and they cost extra.
