Yes!
Nothing against the OP but I’m always so frustrated when I send someone to a specialist and they just come back to me after not being cured with 1 visit to the specialist (now that “specialist” is usually an PA/NP which is a whole nother level of frustration)

Medical diagnosis is often just a best guess. The 1st goal of treatment is do no harm So we’ll start with the least invasive, least expensive treatment options first. And honestly 90% of the time that plan is dictated by the insurance company regardless of the medical recommendation.
Good docs will have a Plan B and C If they aren’t 100% sure of what’s going on. I guess some doctors are not clear about communicating this to the patient?

And quite honestly, some doctors are really annoying about making you come back/pay every time to institute the other plans rather than just doing that over the phone(Although there are times when an exam or visit is needed to assess the success of previous plans). If you get that vibe then you’re always free to move on.

But I agree. Follow up with your doc. At the very least by phone and see what the next step is because guaranteed there is a next step.
