The line judge right at the play showed us all his call with his signal. Whoever in the huddle overruled or convinced
them to make the opposite call wasn’t more right. He didn’t see something more clearly.

The ball was obviously short when his foot touched.

Video was more convincing as him being out than in.

Just not “incontrovertible”.

But it never should have gotten to that point. The guy closest to the play got it right and signaled out of bounds and to “stop the clock”. Not TD.

Whoever overrode his call was wrong. They thought they could rely on video to get it right and that made them get it wrong.
