is half of the story tonight. They're still developing and that's going to be a season long process I'm afraid. Among all those players, 4 of their best players are out for the season due to ACL injuries. That also has never happened before. To top it off, tonight had the worst officiating I've ever seen in a BYU game since I started watching faithfully 10+ years ago. A couple of TCU's goals were helped by some bogus calls and on the other end there were a couple no calls, that if the game had been called evenly, would have been fouls on TCU as well and would have given BYU a couple golden opportunities to get a couple more goals themselves. I still think TCU would have won but if officiating was more objective and fair, score may have been more like 4-3 or 2-1 in TCU's favor.
At any rate, tonight was a trifecta of trials that all together was too much for BYU to overcome. And RPI is archaic and just dumb now.
