Depends on whether you will eventually pay the full deductible. My wife and son

Will hit out of pocket maximum this year and we knew that when choosing plans. Wife hits out of pocket maximum annually. Hopefully son is done with expensive medical soon. If you are going to hit out of pocket max or even deductible, the cash price payment may be increasing what you will pay later. It’s complicated.
