stiffened, the game got defensive and offensively sloppy, ALA-QC would have 2 more TD’s called back for penalties, and the game was scoreless the rest of the way. No fireworks. No fights. No drama in the stands. But the ALA-QC people had vengeful smiles on their faces.
Detmer’s offense struggled all night to move the ball. Stats were a landslide in ALA-QC’s favor, and the score would have been worse except for the penalties calling back the 2 TD’s and 4 turnovers committed by ALA-QC.
It’s possible these two teams meet again in the playoffs. They were both undefeated heading in with comfortable victories.
