I was curious what the average fumble rate is for college football quarterbacks. I couldn't find that, but this article says *NFL* average is 0.6 per game. Hey! That's what he was in junior college! And I would expect fumble rates to be higher in NCAA (and even higher in JC) than in NFL.
Further, if you're going to throw out FCS game on the bottom, you gotta throw out an outlier at the top too (Oklahoma). If you do that, it's 1.0 fumbles per game. Still way too high. But it's not 1.6.
Agree he's gotta do better, but I disagree that this has been a career long problem.
