If he clearly had longstanding uncontrolled diabetes than most likely
He’s dealing with late-stage complications of it.

So >95% chance his neuropathy is related solely to that.

And sounds like potentially some vascular disease may be in play.

Getting the sugars in check is obviously step 1 but I now obviously it’s reducing his risk elsewhere, primarily cardiac.

Good reminder that all of us need to keep metabolic disease in check in our 30-40s as when it does its damage, it’s mostly unfixable.
