Yeah toss it in right after but I always let it cool down a little first. But also, don’t worry about the temp.
You just cured the brisket. You could probably leave it on the counter for a day and it’s still fine.

I get best results when I wrap it tightly and put it in a sealed cooler for about 2-4 hrs.

This - and I do it right out of the smoker and into a yeti cooler. 2-4 hrs

I go directly in cooler after cook. Keep that temp up and continue to render fat
