What happened is some changes to the landscape and specifically at BYU combined

With KY’s unique NBA pedigree created an opportunity that wasn’t there before—ESPECIALLY with one and done basketball players where keeping the honor code is easier if you only have to do it for 9 months.

KY has been smart and all but you are way overstating how much is him and how much is circumstances being such that he could do what he’s doing.
