Obviously recruiting is a crapshoot and there are no guarantees that higher stars turn out and lower stars don’t but as a general rule — consistently landing QBs and skill players with few competing offers generally leads to lackluster talent.
Bronco had a very impressive 2010 class and routinely landed desirable players like Heaps, Apo, Van Noy and did it while byu was in the MWC and independent — so it’s hard for me to understand why Kalani has struggled in comparison where objectively he should be pulling in even better classes consistently.
