He was a heck of a HS QB - in a system that ran the triple option and he wasn't
seen as a traditional passing QB. Which is probably why programs like Army, Air Force, and Nebraska were after him.
You've got to realize the best high school football players in the state of Utah back in the 90's weren't exactly blue-chip prospects.
And like I said, comparing recruiting of today to recruiting of 25-30 years ago is an apples-to-oranges comparison.
