I have always wondered the benefit of caffeine before a workout, why?
You are about to naturally elevate your heart rate why increase it artificially?
Is it a placebo affect for most. Seems like if people want a jolt of energy just drink a sugary soda for the quick boost of energy.
Anyone car to offer their opinions?

Is it the drinking that you want to avoid? Or the effects of the pre workout?

Google is your friend. There’s a lot more effects than a slightly elevated heart rate.

I switch on and off... I will go 2 or 3 months with it and then go 2 or 3

My suggestion would be to go without preworkout... train your body to respond

I've tried pre-workout and I feel like it made me much more tired than without it.

Either that, or your body becomes dependent on it to respond, so you get 0 net
