Just listened to B12 media days. Was interesting whenever KW was asked about their success he seemed to come back to recruiting and at one point said “80% of your success in college football or lack thereof is tied directly to recruiting.”
We all know recruiting is paramount. But it was interesting to hear him put a number on it. From his perspective it sounds like everything besides recruiting only accounts for about 20% of your success. Recruiting is by far the most important determinate of success. Not X’s and O’s, nutrition, in game coaching, etc. Obviously the other stuff matters because 20% is not insignificant and can make the difference in close games. But recruiting trumps all.
