This story costs 5 BYU students $6,000 EACH
About 4 years ago, my daughter drove to Mexico with 20 other BYU students for spring break. They had 5 cars with over 20 students in their caravan.
All the cars were pulled over. In one car (which thankfully my daughter was not in) the cops found an empty shell casing on the floor of the back seat. All 5 kids in the car were arrested. They made all 5 of them call their parents and pay $6,000 EACH to go free.
So corrupt. I have zero desire to ever drive in Mexico.

That's fine i guess. There are places in Mexico where I would love to retire that are perfectly safe.
