Agree. If offered the Utah HC job, he's clearly gone. DC would be questionable, but I'd definitely be nervous
If he's offered the Utah DC job it's more lateral...but he played at Utah and spent the first 13 years of his coaching career at Utah (before 9 at Weber and 1+ at BYU).
Utah has also shown the willingness to pay more for coaches than many teams AND a number of folks here have stated that he has a soft spot for Utah.
So it's a lateral move for most, but his particular background might have him preferring Utah. Just the reality of him in particular, and less about the two programs themselves. In the best case he stays at BYU, but is able to leverage it into a sizeable pay raise
