My top three: Assisi, Cinque Terre, Ancient Rome

But Venice, Verona, the Alps, Florence, Siena, Orvieto, all great. Anywhere in Tuscany is amazing basically.

Assisi is the off the beaten path gem that few bother to find and I absolutely loved. Like this whole medieval city on a hill with castle and monastery from an age between Rome and the Renaissance. I like the story of St Francis.
