Some of you guys have downvoted my last post about NCAA tournament should be P5 only. I don't think you understood the essence of my post. So let me explain in details.

Elite basketball teams are made of players with a combination of athleticism, skills and intelligence. Most college players possess one of these traits, and maybe two. But for those who have all three, they play PREDOMINANTLY for P5 schools.

If you don't believe me, just watch BYU basketball. Watch this play. Pay attention to #2.

See the instinct, timing, speed, jumping ability and passion?

You can't tell me a school like Gonzaga can match this. 

And if you look at the entire BYU roster, Robinson, Waterman, Knell and Hall, all shooting above or close to 40% while processing the game on a different level. You just don't see that in WCC.

I rest my case.

Now I am going to be fair: BYU is the cream of the crop of B12, and you can't just use the best as an example. There are certainly not so great teams in the B12. But even the bottom of B12 would dominate in a conference like the WCC.

The worst team, West Virginia, is a traditional powerhouse. It has more NCAA tournament appearances than all WCC schools. And that is a FACT! 

The B12 even has higher moral standard than WCC. West Virginia lost their legendary coach to drunk driving arrests, which is a pity. Because in WCC, you don't lose no one to nothing.

For those who advocate for non-P5 schools, I applaud your desire for equality. But the real world does't work like that. Capitalism is a meritocracy. Only P5 schools who have devoted resources and effort to basketball to big boy basketball deserve inclusion.
