terrible idea? The problem with education is not teachers. Schools are so busy trying to control behavior, provide social services, and so much more... they can't even begin to truly educate or teach critical thinking. As sad as it is, it is still true. I hope it doesn't offend you to state it. You teachers out there know that most of your students feel they are wasting more their time at school - and I would argue that they are right, but it's not your fault. It is the "daycare" mentality that causes it - but it is still true and needs to be changed.
