There's a perception that lingers - especially in the west coast - that the PAC is still a Power 5. The PAC is fast becoming the laughing stock of football in trying to make that perception linger.
One way they hope to keep the illusion alive - PAC doesn't schedule quality OOC opponents. When they do, they get hammered.
Exhibit A: Yewts winning the crappy conference that didn't play anyone, then getting hammered by the 3rd place Big10 team. AND THEN TRYING TO SPIN IT AS A VICTORY of some sort. If that's not little-man's disease, I don't know what is. Little man's disease comes from actually knowing you're smalltime.
Exhibit B: The PAC can't get a media deal in the same atmosphere as the Big12. Nobody wants to have to pay for a loser. Poll voters who want to keep the perception alive can sure prop up those rankings. But when it comes to real people voting with their feet, we all know garbage when we see it. And the PAC is a pile with flies circling.
