stuff to hang on a wall, kind of like those that have been in the military. I have a grandfather that was in WWI and I blew up one of his pics in uniform and obtained authentic medals of the ones he had when I was a kid (grew up next door and loved to dig through his Army stuff) that he had (before my father, and only child, sold them off) and made an enclosed framed kind of shadow box that hangs up in my home office. I like it, but some people have very little sentimentality and just pitch that stuff. It depends and what you like/dislike.
I only made it to 2nd class due to hazing (I wasn't LDS as a youth), so those few awards are in my wife's printer box hanging on the wall. All three of my sons achieved their Eagles, but I haven't seen them do anything with their Scout awards and I don't know if they will one day or not.
