krindorr Intervention Needed
I'd be VERY hesitant to believe this is Alema Fitisimanu

The reasons are long and varied, but here's a partial rundown

  1. Don't read too much into a name. I grew up a Utah fan, so my first internet ID was VnHorn after Keith Van Horn.  Despite this, I was not (and still am not) Keith Van Horn

  2. Credentials inconsistent with Alema's history

    1. Looking at his post history, he claimed to be an Executive for a national company in 2020. At the time Alema was the BYU recruiting coordinator.

    2. He's also stated that he's on the board of Hale Centre Theatre. Alema was never a Hale Centre Board Member. Worth noting here that he first claimed that his experience attending at Hale Centre was different than another poster and then when the other poster doubled down, this account elevated the claim to being a board member. This pattern of escalating credentials occurs in a few of his posts.

    3. In 2018 (when Alema was employed by the University of Utah), this account claimed that he was at every BYU practice and had inside information. Which is odd, given that I doubt BYU would give a Utah employee open access to their practices (even if that coach did have history as a player at BYU). Beyond that, I'd assume Utah practices at the same time, and if you're a recruiting coordinator for Utah, they'd probably want you there or with recruits instead of helping out at BYU practice.

    4. In one post he claimed that he was at every practice for BYU in Spring 2021 (so had inside info we should trust), but in another he pointed out that we have to trust the coaches on the QB decision since neither he nor us are able to see what goes on at practice.
  3. Negative statements about Alema's employers - probably not something you'd want to do on social media under your own name while employed there

    1. While Alema was an employee of the U of U football program, this account was trashing Kyle Whittingham as a mediocre-at-best coach.  Not a likely choice for someone about the figurehead at their job

    2. Luckily, he's an equal opportunity hater, because in 2019 and 2020 (when Alema was employed by BYU), this account also implied Kalani should be fired
  4. Terrible posting accuracy and insight historically

    1. Of course one thing he mentioned being clear at all those practice he saw (or didn't see) was that Zach Wilson is a practice-only QB who doesn't elevate in games and that's why Baylor should be the 2020 starter.
    2. Stated (in Fall 2020) that Zach Wilson lacked the touch to ever be a good QB (along the lines of "Beck developed it by year 3, I doubt Wilson ever gets there")
    3. Repeatedly dragged on Jaren Hall (for a bunch of different reasons including stating that Beck thinks Hall lacks accuracy and that Hall's teams all get better when he leaves). Maybe he just REALLY likes Baylor Romney, but again, attacking your own program under your own name while you're employed by them would be a terrible idea, and frankly doesn't seem in line with what Alema would do.  Worth noting that the general negativity of this account and the things shared don't line up with what people who know Alema would expect of him (both in these instances and in other negative posts about Utah which ended up not being true)
    4. He also repeatedly insisted that Tanner McKee had committed to BYU and just was waiting for the best moment to announce it, as well as being shocked when Jaxson Dart didn't sign with BYU ... at a time when most services and reports had Dart already HEAVILY leaning to USC. So if he was the recruiting director for BYU, it's probably a good thing he no longer is since he was pretty terrible at assessing which players were likely to sign with BYU.
    5. He also then doubled down, stating last year that Dart had committed to BYU in the transfer portal and just hadn't announed it, but telling everyone who thought otherwise that they didn't have the inside info he did.

Every time someone asks him if he's actually Alema he goes radio silent, so I'm pretty confident he enjoys the perception but is more willing to let people jump to conclusions than to outright claim it.

I have no inside info (and have never claimed to), so his info here COULD well be true.  And I suppose there's a chance he COULD be Alema, despite much evidence to the contrary.  But I'd recommend not giving any extra credit to his takes based on a username.
