3.) The one who posted this isn’t some anonymous rando. It’s Alema Fitisemanu. He was on Utahs staff as recently as 2019 and he even named his source—who is at Utah. Not that implausible.
4.) The leap in recruiting is unprecedented, Utah typically around what, mid 40’s and now they sit at 20 with a chance to be mid teens? I don’t think that’s primarily because of the Rose Bowl appearances or winning (let’s be real about this) a weak PAC12. I think BYU has been mediocre over last two years and we went 6-1 in the P12–and we didn’t even get to play Colorado or Cal🤪. It didn’t happen last year even after a P12 champ and going to Rose Bowl.
5.) The situation with Logan Fano is suspicious. He goes on a podcast stating that he wanted to stay at BYU and w/ Kalani and see who they brought in. Then they bring in a worthy and exciting D coordinator, one who would maximize more his strengths. His little brother posts that he’s not even sure he’s ready to commit but he wanted to announce on day of grandmothers passing, then Utah coaches are w/ Logan the night before he announces a move to the portal? Hmm…
6.) I don’t think Utah can continue to point currently to the NFL success. Currently they have the same about of roster guys as BYU in the league and frankly BYU players are higher profile.

Utah has run a great program and deserves tons of credit. I’m sure they out work BYU staff too in regards to recruiting, and they certainly have a lot of momentum, but I wouldn’t be surprised if large sums of money being promised and not yet delivered are part of equation.
