I find him grating at times, add yes he upset both BYU and Utah fans, but I think he’s right on this issue. The guy is basically The Godfather of Utah media and has set the standard in sports radio for what, 30 years? We can definitely debate if the standard is up to standard in this market, imo it’s not, but his firing obviously wasn’t due to a conflict of interest due to working at the Trib. David James was kept despite being a competitor on the tv side. So the second Bonneville, who we all know it’s owned by, gets control he’s the only on air personality let go? If anyone thinks he was the obvious worst talent at that place I don’t know what to tell you. Therefore, his article which I’m sure rankled many in downtown SL has to be considered as one reason, if not the the sole one, he was released.
